Overview
G25 is the latest addition to the popular Infiniti G line up. The all-new 2012 Infiniti G25 Sedan features a new 2.5-liter V6 engine and 7-speed automatic transmission. It shares exterior, interior and chassis with G37 Sedan but with a smaller displacement engine and improved fuel economy. The G25 Sedan is available in both rear-wheel drive and intelligent all-wheel drive. Three models are offered: G25 Sedan, G25 Sedan Journey and G25x Sedan AWD.
Power and performance
A 2.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine rated at 218 horsepower and 187 lb-ft of torque provides power to the all-new G25 Sedan. An electronically controlled 7-speed automatic with Adaptive Shift Control (ASC) and Drive Sport (DS) mode is standard on all models. The G25 Sedan, G25 Sedan Journey and G25x Sedan AWD deliver an EPA estimated fuel economy of 20/29, 20/29 and 19/27 mpg city/highway respectively. The cargo capacity is rated at 13.5 cubic feet.
Body and styling
The list of standard equipment is extensive. It includes leather-appointed seating, Shodo aluminum interior trim, 8-way power driver's seat and 4-way power front passenger's seat, automatic temperature control, six-speaker audio system, XM Satellite Radio (XM subscription required, sold separately) and much more. The other standard G25 Sedan features are 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, Infiniti Intelligent Key with Illuminated Push Button Ignition, 7-inch WVGA color display, LED rear brake lights and center high-mounted stoplight (CHMSL), power windows and leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel and shift knob with aluminum accent. A 6-speaker audio system with AM/FM/CD with MP3 playback capability and Radio Data System (RDS) is also standard.
The G25 Sedan Journey model adds RearView Monitor, heated front seats, heated outside mirrors, auto on/off headlights, Dual Zone Automatic Temperature Control and more.
Safety Features
Like all 2012 Infiniti cars, the G25 offers modern safety features including High Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-functional xenon headlights, 4-wheel Anti-lock Disc Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Traction Control System (TCS), Infiniti Advanced Air Bag System (AABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and Vehicle Security System.
