Overview
Infiniti FX is one of the most radical expressions of sport and utility available today. The 2012 Infiniti FX is luxury crossover SUV that offers some of the best qualities of a car and an SUV, all in one package. The 2012 Infiniti FX is offered in three models, including FX35, FX35 AWD, and FX50. This premium crossover SUV featuring big, powerful brakes and firm, fully independent suspensions, can be driven much harder than the traditional sport utility vehicles. The 2012 Infiniti FX doesn?t have any major changes. A restyled fascia and front grille are added to the new version. An updated gauge illumination is also being incorporated in the new version. There's also a new FX35 Limited Edition trim level based on the all-wheel-drive FX35.
Power and performance
The FX comes with a choice of two engines: a 390-horsepower 5.0-liter 32-valve DOHC V8 engine with VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) and a 303-horsepower 3.5-liter 24-valve DOHC V6 engine. These two engines are paired with a standard 7-speed automatic transmission. The FX is also offered with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (standard on FX50).
Body and styling
The addition of the restyled fascia and front grille along with an updated gauge illumination is new for the 2012 model.
The FX features standard Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System on all models, standard USB Connection Port for iPod and other compatible devices and a 2.0GB Music Box hard drive to the Bose Premium Audio system (on vehicles without navigation). The FX?s available Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System was enhanced earlier with the addition of an in-dash single disc DVD audio/video drive, streaming audio via Bluetooth, Zagat Restaurant Guide and XM NavWeather (along with the previously available XM NavTraffic).
Every FX is adorned with dark chrome front grille, high Intensity discharge bi-functional xenon headlights, LED stoplights and center high-mounted stoplight, dual heated power-adjustable and folding outside mirrors, front driver and passenger LED puddle lamps and dual chrome exhaust finishers. Standard leather-appointed interior, leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel and shift knob with aluminum accent, 60/40-split folding rear seatbacks including remote fold-down releases in cargo area are designed every bit to give you a luxurious feel. Power sliding glass moonroof with one-touch auto-open/close, tilt feature and sliding sunshade, dual zone automatic temperature control system with microfiltration,11-speaker Bose Premium audio system with Burr-Brown DAC, AM/FM/CD with MP3 playback capability and Radio Data System are also standard.

Infiniti FX is a safe vehicle equipped with standard anti-lock brakes, traction control, stability control dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt sensors and an occupant-classification sensor, driver and front-passenger seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags, roof-mounted curtain side impact supplemental air bags with rollover sensor for front and rear-seat outboard occupant head protection, front and rear head restraints, height-adjustable 3-point rear seat belts with ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor) /ALR (Automatic Locking Retractor).
