| Infiniti to unveil the new JX concept at the 2011 LA Auto Show
Ft. Lauderdale, FL, September 12, 2011 – Infiniti has just revealed the concept version of the JX, the new crossover from Infiniti. The new vehicle is powered by a V-6 engine and has three rows of seating for seven passengers.
The product version of the new JX will be launched at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show scheduled for this November. The new JX will be equipped with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) to make it more fuel efficient. To mimic a geared transmission, Infiniti has also included a Sport mode program.
The new vehicle will also be equipped with several driver assistance technologies including blind spot detection along with a new backup collision prevention system. This innovative system has the ability to detect cross traffic behind the car, warn the driver and can even automatically apply the brakes, if needed.
Additionally, the new JX will also feature a unique telematics systems that can be used to download the owner’s calendar to the car complete with the appointment addresses in the car’s navigation system. The JX goes on sale in the spring of 2012 as a 2013 model.
